Dear Antiochians from the ’90s–’00s,

We made it through the best/worst years of Antioch. We may have been called toxic, but we knew we were fighting for detoxification, and now we wear the Toxic label like a badge of honor, a tribute to our relentlessness. When the University tried to close us, we were told it was our fault. But we showed up and we shut them down. We did our best to save our home, even if not everything we hoped for was salvaged.

Then the new Antioch College made many of us feel forgotten, unnecessary, perhaps unwanted. Some of us disengaged, some of us thought we could never come back. But we can, and we should. The College we once knew hasn’t vanished… there is still a place for us here, and there is an opportunity for us to be a part of it again, to create change and not let what we knew and experienced and fought for be forgotten. If we walked the campus today, we would see that the spirit of our Antioch is alive and well, and it needs us in its struggle.

This is still our home. We hope to see you on campus at Reunion (and dance it off at DIV).

In solidarity,
Nova Ren Suma ’97, Jilana Ordman ’98, Avery Martens ’08, Jeanne Kay ’10

A few ground rules:

  • Please register ahead of time so that facilities staff can be prepared (no additional cost for camping); just send an email to with the days you plan to camp;
  • Camping is "primitive" (no electricity or typical campground amenities);
  • No fires (sorry...but there is a bonfire on Saturday near Weston and the Union);
  • No vehicles on the grass;
  • Please clean up after yourselves! Trash cans will be provided, and dumpsters are located south of the Maples/Alumni Workshop.

Don't want to camp? Here are some lodging ideas and travel discounts.
